Terengganu Silk: Plain Collection

"Pleing" is Terengganu pronunciation for the English word of "plain". The most basic fabric of Terengganu hand-woven silk, Plain Collection is simple, subtle and classic with hand-made touch of every inch. Definitely a plain, understated luxury.

This collection is achieved by setting "benang pakang" and "benang loseng" with similar color of yarns. Weavers would spend approximately a day to complete this fabric of 4 meters of length and 45 inches of width.

Plain fabric with ikat touch is called "plain ikat". In comparison with the former, this "plain ikat" needs more meditative time to be finished.

As Terengganu is famous for its sandy beaches, each of fabric of this collection is named after the beaches of Terengganu. Gazing to the horizon, ocean is just plain blue, just like ours.
